Ed25519 Sign
High-speed Edwards-curve digital signature (RFC 8032)
Overview
Computes a deterministic 64-byte Ed25519 digital signature ($R \parallel S$, RFC 8032 / FIPS 186-5 PureEdDSA) over an arbitrary-length message using a 32-byte Ed25519 private key.
Unlike ECDSA, PureEdDSA Ed25519 hashes the entire message internally with SHA-512 and derives the per-message nonce deterministically from the private key and message, eliminating random-number-generator nonce reuse vulnerabilities.
When to Use
- Signing arbitrary messages deterministically with an Ed25519 private key without needing a separate pre-hashing step.
Parameter Configuration
Ed25519 Sign has no configurable parameters; RFC 8032 PureEdDSA deterministically signs the raw Message using SHA-512 internally.
Port I/O Specification

INVALID_KEY_MATERIAL |
Invalid key length or format | Raised when Private Key is not exactly 32 bytes. |
Examples
Signing a Message with Ed25519
Sign a UTF-8 message and produce a 64-byte signature.
- Connect the 32-byte
Private Keyfrom Ed25519 KeyGen and your message bytes to Ed25519 Sign.
