Bytes to Base58

Category: Data Conversion & Encoding ยท Node Type ID: converter-bytes-to-base58

Encodes raw byte array into Base58 string (Bitcoin / Flickr)

Overview

Encodes a raw byte array (Uint8Array) into a Base58 string using either the Bitcoin/IPFS alphabet (123456789ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyz) or the Flickr short-URL alphabet. Base58 omits visually ambiguous characters (0, O, I, l) and punctuation (+, /).

Leading zero bytes (0x00) in the input array are preserved one-for-one as the first character of the selected alphabet (1 in Bitcoin alphabet).
