Workflow Output

Category: Input/Output Data ยท Node Type ID: workflow-output

Workflow egress interface. Gathers final pipeline results for API response or caller return.

Overview

Defines the external egress interface of a workflow. When a workflow is saved as a reusable Custom Node or executed via the engine API, the values arriving at the dynamic input ports of Workflow Output are returned as the named outputs of that Custom Node or workflow run.

A workflow may contain at most one Workflow Output node.

When to Use

Parameter Configuration

Workflow Output is configured by managing its dynamic input ports in the property inspector:

Port I/O Specification

See Ports & Connections for general wiring rules, data type colors, and dynamic port creation.

Input Ports

AttributeSpecification
Port NatureDynamic / Variable Input Ports
Initial Default on CanvasStarts with 0 input ports (inputs: []) until you add or connect ports.
Port Count Range0 or more input ports.
Allowed Data TypesBytes, String, Int, or Bool.
Adding & Managing PortsDrag an upstream output wire onto the [+] handle on the left side of the node card (which automatically adopts the source port's name and data type), or add/remove/rename ports in the inspector.
Evaluation & Ordering RuleThe top-to-bottom order of input ports on Workflow Output defines the top-to-bottom order of output ports on the resulting Custom Node.

Output Ports

This node has no output ports.

Error Cases

This node has no runtime failure cases (errorProfile: none) and always succeeds for any valid typed input.

Examples

Collecting Ciphertext and Tag for a Custom Node Output

Expose two outputs from a custom encryption workflow.

  1. Place a single Workflow Output node at the end of the graph.
  2. Drag the Ciphertext and Auth Tag outputs of AES Encrypt onto the [+] handle of Workflow Output.
